<p>As the Sprint Nexus S 4G is updated to Android 2.3.5, it promises to boost WiFi Wimax speeds. Different versions of firmware can have a big impact on device performance in a variety of areas. In the case of the Nexus S 4G, this latest update improves WiFi connectivity, speakerphone <a target="_blank" href="http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/07/26/sprint-nexus-s-4g-update-to-android-2-3-5-wimax-speeds-boosted">quality</a>, and also adds TTY support along with the large boost to Wimax performance. </p>
<p>The new update is still in the works,but it has already been tested by some industry insiders . When the update is publicly launched, it will be an over-the-air update. In some cases the download speeds on the newest version can be twice as fast as the current version, and upload speeds have increased slightly as well. </p>

The Apollo enables 4G speeds in more than 70 markets across the US, with more markets being supported in the near future. Data plans for Apollo start at $35 per month.
