WiFi Wimax Hotspot

Even though the latest news on Clearwire is that they're moving away from WiFi Wimax technology, they are nevertheless still introducing new products in the Wimax line. The latest is a new 4G hotspot called the Apollo which is designed to work with the Clearwire Wimax network in certain areas. The Apollo, which features an LCD display on the front, was a recent hit at the FCC.
The LCD displays a read out of device status details, such a signal strength and battery life. The Apollo can connect up to 4 different devices ranging from netbooks to tablets and smartphones. The Apollo enables 4G speeds in more than 70 markets across the US, with more markets being supported in the near future. Data plans for Apollo start at $35 per month. The device is less than 4 inches square and it weighs under 5 ounces.
